I hate to say this, but Nicole's national costume is a downgrade
from what she's wearing during her Bb Pilipinas stint. The embellished tribal ensemble was far more enticing and captivating than this Colombian-made silvery white terno.
I'm just a bit bored stiff looking at our gorgeous bet wearing the same old-looking national costumes every single year in any grandslam international pageant. Its not that I'm up against with the Filipina terno but we do have a lot of exotic traditional pieces which educe more creativity and inimitable fashion statement, not to mention our brilliant Filipino designers who have eagerly yearned to dress our lovely delegates in their respective international beauty quests.Well, all will just remain as wishful thinking without the consent of Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta - the Colombian national director of the Philippines' oldest beauty pageant (Bb.Pilipinas) and the current franchise holder of Miss International & Miss Universe.

On a lighter note, Nicole's vibrant amicable persona breathed life and form to that seemingly arid bromidic conventional garb.It would have been more electrifying and gripping if she could have worn a Pinoy-made bejeweled ethnic suit, I suppose.:-)
