Finally, the world's most beautiful men have just been crowned! Francisco Escobar of Colombia emerged as the grand winner with our very own Philippine rep Andrew Wolff came close as First Runner-Up followed by Leo Delaney of Ireland winning the Second Runner-Up tittle.

Completing the ten semifinalists were the delegates from Belgium, Gianni Sennesael, Canada, Frankie Cena, Croatia, Vanja Grgec, England, Roland Johnson, Lebanon, Rodolphe Bou Nader, Peru, Rodrigo Fernandini, and Vietnam, Truong Nam Thanh.

The champions of the fast track events automatically earned a semifinal spot. The winners were: Ireland (Mr. World Sports), Philippines (Multi-Media Award), Croatia (Extreme Sports), Canada (Talent), and Vietnam (Fashion & Style Challenge). The other five semifinalists were picked by the judges themselves.:-)

The gallant coronation night was held in Kent Event Centre, Kent, England on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Mister World is actually the male counterpart of Miss World headed by Julia Morley. Andrew Wolff's victory is the first and the highest placement ever achieved by a Filipino in Mister World's history.

Some random thoughts...

It seemed that 2012 is Philippines' luckiest year in pageantry after its consecutive placements in international beauty quests. Just last night, Stephany Stefanowitz bagged the Miss Earth-Air elemental crown, and in the previous two weeks, June Macasaet won the Manhunt International tittle with Kevin Balot as Queen International. Also noteworthy mentioning were the Second Runner-Up finish of Ayelee Dasalla in Miss Humanity International, Elaine Moll's Third Runner-Up honors in Miss Supranational as well as the hard-earned semifinal placements of Queneerich Rehman in Miss World and Nicole Schmitz in Miss International

Philippines is indeed a country with world-class beauties! It has defended its tittle as the reigning Beauty Superpower in Asia. "Mabuhay ang Gandang Filipino!"

Upnext is Miss Universe! Can we continue the streak this December? Well, I am positive that our country's bet - Janine Raymundo Tugonon will definitely leave no stone unturned..:-) So watch out!
