Last year's contender was a goddess blonde, now a black-haired mixed superbeauty banners the South African flag in their bid for the world's most prestigious crown.
Marilyn Ramos is a 21 year-old qualified fitness trainer and an Interior Architecture student at Inscape Design College in Pretoria who succeeded Melinda Bam's throne in a glittering coronation ceremony at Sun City Superbowl. She was crowned by Melinda's First Runner-up, Remona Moodley since the former was in Las Vegas for the Miss Universe pageant.
The five feet and 9 inches beauty titlist is no longer a novice in the field of pageantry. She's Miss Valley of the Waves, Miss Rivona, Model of the World, Miss Europe and currently the reigning Miss South Africa who will represent the multi-colored nation for this year's Miss World and Miss Universe. With five titles under her belt and having donned five crowns on her head, will she win her sixth grandest crown this year? Could she surpass Melinda's top 10 Miss Universe performance? What are your thoughts, dear readers?
