Ashley Love-Mills of Raleigh is a model and actress with a BA in Media Communications from North Carolina State University. 

Being a victim of bullying herself, Ashley is most passionate about being a spokesperson for Peaceful Schools-NC, a local anti-bullying program founded by the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation. Earlier this year she conducted a series of self-esteem workshops for young girls and plans to continue to do so throughout her year of reign.

Miss North Dakota: Stephanie Erickson

Stephanie Erickson was born and raised in Fargo, ND. She grew up as an older sister to not only her biological sister but also to 14 foster children who shared her home over the course of several years. Stephanie was one of the original creators of North Dakota's largest food drive and largest youth-led service project: Fill the Dome. In the six years since its inception, the annual Fill the Dome food drive has raised over $300,000 and 400 tons of food to help alleviate hunger across North Dakota and eastern Minnesota.

Stephanie went to pursue her interest in engineering at North Dakota State University where she received a Presidential Scholarship. As a student, Stephanie was very involved in organizations that focused on leadership and service, such as Blue Key Honor Society, Students Today Leaders Forever, Engineering and Architecture Ambassadors, Society of Women Engineers, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Taking part in Pay It Forward Tours, Stephanie was able to volunteer in 21 states across the country. Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University in December 2012.
