Twenty-one year-old model and a former team member of UE Red warriors reigned supreme during last night's grand finale of Mister International-Philippines 2013 held at the Fil-Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan City. Towering at 6'3'', Gil represented the city of Lapu-Lapu in Cebu and toppled twenty-three other aspiring contestants which earned him the honor to banner the sash of the Philippines in Mister International world finals to be staged in Jakarta, Indonesia on November 21 this year.
An all-Visayan triumvirate comprised the Top 3 winners. Wilfredo Placencia Jr from Dumaguete city was proclaimed as first runner-up and will also get the chance to be the country's representative in Gentleman Universe in Chile early next year. While Jeffrey Sanchez of Bacolod city was adjudged as second runner-up.

Present during the finals were Hammoud Ali of Lebanon who is the reigning Mister International 2012 as well as his first runner-up Ron Teh of Singapore. 'Twas a great privilege that I have met both of them in Bangkok,Thailand last year during the competition's preliminaries. Mr. Alan Sim, the owner of Mister International organization also graced the said event.
