Just recently, Yvethe Santiago, Philippines' delegate for the 6th edition of Miss Supranational beauty pageant was formally given a send off party by her Binibining Pilipinas family at the Balay in Araneta Center.

The event was well attended by her Binibini sisters Mary Jean Lastimosa (Miss Universe Philippines 2014), Kris Tiffany Janson (Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2014), Parul Shah (Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2014), Laura Lehman (Binibining Pilipinas 2014 First Runner-Up) and Hannah Sison (Binibining Pilipinas 2014 Second Runner-Up) who gave their well-wishes and words of encouragement to their Poland-bound sister. Also present during the Send Off was the reigning Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul as well as the Binibini Matriarch Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta who made sure, Yvette will be given a memorable turn. But what made the occasion more special was the presence of Yvette's mom who shared a heartwarming message to her daughter who's challenged to nail the daunting task of achieving a back-to-back victory for the Philippines.

Yvette who is aware of the pressure in clinching the top plum remains positive and determined."I know I'm facing the tough competition. A back-to-back victory is very hard but not impossible. My passion to bring home the crown will fire me up for the fight and I'm excited to see how it will empower me come pageant time."
When asked about her ultimate weapon to stand out in a sea of beautiful contenders, the statuesque Bicolana pointed out her fellow Binibini Mutya Datul who is the very first Filipino titleholder and the first Asian to win the Miss Supranational crown. "Every chance we're together, we talk about what I can do to shine in the pageant, and Johanna is very open to share everything. She always told me to just enjoy the moment, never get tired of smiling. Be lavish in your praises for the people in the pageant, but do it out with sincerity."

Yvette is scheduled to leave for Krynica-Zdrój in Poland on November 16th where she will be fighting tooth and nail together with the 80 plus beauties from around the globe for the Miss Supranational crown. Philippines' Mutya Johanna Datul will crown her successor on the pageant's grand finale.

God Bless you Yvette in your journey for the crown! You can make it!
