In the 42nd staging of the World Finals of Miss Globe 2015 beauty pageant held inside Rose Theater Brampton in Toronto, Canada, Philippines bet Ann Lorraine Colis bested 53 global beauties and won the country's first Miss Globe crown.Albania's Sarah Karaj came in second place nudging the First Runner-Up honors followed by Macedonia's Elena Angjelovska clinching the Second Runner-Up post with China's Yisha Chen and France's Oceane Pernodet nabbing the Third and the Fourth Runners-Up titles respectively.

This is the first time that the Philippines has fielded a candidate in the pageant's 42nd year history and in its first attempt, a crown has been won. Ann's historic win in this global beauty tilt may hopefully yield good tidings of luck and fortune for the rest of the world-class Filipina beauties who will compete internationally this year.

Congratulations Ann! Mabuhay ang gandang Filipina!
