and Angelia Ong (Miss Earth 2015)
Just like in 2013, this year proves to be a very fruitful year for the Philippines in the world of pageantry. The victory of Ann Lorraine Colis for nabbing the country's first Miss Globe crown in Toronto, Canada last October heralded a string of fortune that saw the Philippines winning almost all of the most contested beauty derbies around the world. Trixie Maristela successfully clinched the Philippines' second crown in Miss International Queen which is dubbed as the world's most prestigious pageant for transgender women staged annually in Pattaya, Thailand. One month later, Angelia Ong triumphantly nudged a back-to-back win in Miss Earth held in Vienna, Austria, giving the Philippines it's third Miss Earth crown as well as its first historic two-year consecutive victory in an Alpha pageant. And the following days ahead, we have witnessed the crowning moment of Cindy Madumma as Miss Scuba International 2015 in Sabah, Malaysia.

Perhaps, the country's greatest achievement this year in the field of beauty pageants was when the Philippines finally won it's third Miss Universe crown after 42 years courtesy of Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who had a very unforgettable and dramatic crowning moment in the history of pageantry.

From the top left (counter-clockwise): Miss World 2015 Top 10 Hillarie Parungao,
Miss Intercontinental 2015 First Runner-Up Christi McGarry, Miss Grand International
2015 Third Runner-Up Parul Shah, Miss Supranational 2015 Top 20 Rogelie Catacutan and Miss International 2015 Top 10 Janicel Lubina.

Aside from the crowns itself, it is also worth mentioning that all of the Filipino delegates this year were able to place in the major and even in the second-tier international beauty pageants. Christi Lyn McGarry is Miss Intercontinental 2015 First Runner-Up, Parul Shah is Miss Grand International 2015 Third Runner-Up, Hillarie Parungao and Janicel Lubina are both Top 10 Finalists in Miss World and Miss International 2015 with Rogelie Catacutan in Miss Supranational 2015 Top 20 Semi-finalist.

With all the unparalleled achievements we have had, we couldn't just thank God enough. The immense success that we have attained in the international pageantry is a living proof that we Filipinos can unite as one and be a leader in the global economy as well. May the good Lord will continually bless and prosper the Philippines in 2016 as well as in the coming years ahead. Mabuhay and a Happy, Prosperous New Year to everyone!

It is not is God's favor.
From the fullness of His Grace, we have all received one blessing after another. John 1:16
