After the tremendous success of Pia Wurtzbach in Miss Universe, Binibining Pilipinas is now set once again to produce another bunch of gorgeous Binibini ready to conquer the international pageant scene.
From the roster of 40 candidates this year vying to be the country's next beauty queens, I have pinned down five beautiful aspirants whom I think would be a quintet of excellent successors to banner the sash of the Philippines in the most contested beauty derbies abroad. Of course, my list of favorites might change as the pageant progresses leading to its coronation finale on the fateful eve of April 17th.
Nichole Marie Manalo - The youngest of beauty queen sisters Miss World 2002 Finalist Katherine Anne Manalo and Miss Universe-Philippines 2009 Bianca Manalo, Nichole is dead set to make a mark of her own. After her first attempt in Bb. Pilipinas 2014 where she made it to the semi-finals, this towering beauty will fight tooth and nail to win her own beauty crown. With a more polished form, Nichole will most likely achieve what she dearly aspires.
Angelique Celine De Leon - She's another stunner from the 2014 batch who came this year more prepared and battle-ready compared to her first try two years ago. The sole entrant from R-L Angel camp, Angelique is fiercely determine to breeze through the winning circle and win the most coveted crown.
Dindi Joy Pajares - This girl certainly made heads turn since day one and mesmerized a number of pageant aficionados. Dindi's bikini-perfect curves and radiant aura made her a stand out among the pool of gorgeous beauties. If she will be able to maintain such composure and ravishing persona until the homestretch, no doubt she'll definitely win big in the finals' night.
Kylie Verzosa - Fresh from her semi-final stint last year, Kylie returns in the scene with much flair and passion. A leading entry from the country's premiere beauty camp, Aces and Queens is betting on Kylie to secure one of the crowns of this year's Binibini search. With the lessons learned from her previous experience coupled with the training she got from her camp, Kylie will surely rock the grand coronation finale!
Kim Ross Delos Santos - She's my favorite this year to succeed Pia in the universe! Statuesque, flawless and with a beautiful face that launches a thousand ships, Kim is nearly-perfect to capture the most loved tiara. Not to mention that she's under the tutelage of Aces and Queens.
I say, nearly-perfect because, I haven't seen yet how she struts the runway, and I have yet to hear how she speaks and communicates in English. Her personality is yet to be revealed and how she connects to the crowd and behaves during the interview remained to be seen as of this writing. But as early as now, based on the photos, she has the raw qualities of a beauty queen if not a perfect delegate for the country's quest to continue its winning streak in Miss Universe.
