The beauty battle for the next Miss Earth has just started.

Press Presentation.
There were a lot of changes in my list when the delegates
were finally presented to the media yesterday during the Press Presentation held by the pool in the Diamond Hotel Manila. Quite a handful of contenders made a surprising turn as they strutted and posed in their red hot bikini with the endless camera clicks from the photographers and the press. Venezuela's Stephanie de Zorzi  has snatched the lead from Luissa Burton of England who now slip down to number 11. Only Corrin Stellakis from USA and Russian beauty Aleksandra Cherepanova have maintained their respective spot in the winning circle with Ecuador's Katherine Espin joining the coveted quartet. Four new faces have emerged from my second list and have now occupied the Final 8. They are Itzel Paola Astudillo of Mexico, Michelle Gomez of Colombia, Ivana Perisic of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the African bombshell Grace Wanene of Kenya.

Atcharee Buakhiao of Thailand, Virginia Hernandez of Panama, Eszter Oczella of Hungary and Bruna Zanardo of Brazil have consistently placed in my scoresheet. While the delegates from Ukraine, Alona Belova, Italy's Denis Frigo and the hometown girl Imelda Schweighart of the Philippines have made their presence felt in the Top 16. However with Imelda's careless 'soft joke' about the President comparing him to Hitler during her informal interview with Miss Austria, I doubt if she could maintain the momentum leading to the finals especially now that she has earned the ire of Duterte's fiercest supporters. Although I am still hoping that her apology will eventually pacify the rage.

Let's see if there will be new changes in my next and final prediction list. Good luck ladies and enjoy the Philippines!
